Nano Banana 2 Lite is Google's fastest, most cost-efficient image generation model in the Nano Banana 2 family, released 2026-06. It produces images in roughly 4 seconds, about 2.7× faster than Gemini 3.1 Flash Image, while retaining the family's character consistency and precise editing. The same API handles text-to-image, image editing, and multi-image composition, with outputs at 1K resolution across 14 aspect ratios and an invisible SynthID watermark.
Channels
Every channel serves the same model, but they differ in price and stability. On each API key in the Platform, you pick a primary and a backup channel per vendor, and each billing line shows which channel served the request.

This model’s price depends on how much input context a request carries. The headline price is the cheapest band, and a longer prompt moves the whole request into a higher one.
